Auto dealer changes name

Proper Ford Lincoln Limited will be renamed and operate as Trillium Ford Lincoln Ltd with locations in Alliston and Shelburne.
While the ownership and management structure at both locations remains the same, the decision to operate under a new name was done as a reflection of the growth in both communities.
“For over 20 years, Shelburne and Alliston have both had a Ford and Lincoln franchise. The people who have done business with us in the past will know that the service and staff are the same, however with so many new families moving into these areas, we wanted a name that would represent everyone in each community,” said dealer principal and owner Jack Van’t Spyker, as he explained the decision to change names.
“Our goal is to ‘wow’ all of our customers, and we look forward to building new traditions and relationships, while improving on those we already have.”
Trillium Ford Lincoln Ltd is located at 735 Industrial Rd., Shelburne and at Simcoe Rd. 10 and Hwy 89 E, Alliston.

Golf fundraiser successful
Hockley Valley Resort’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $75,000 in support of Caritas, Meagan’s Walk, Headwaters Heath Care Centre, Ontario Track 3 Ski Association and SickKids Foundation.
This event combines the two best summertime activities offered at Hockley Valley Resort — 18 holes of golf and pampering in the spa.
“Over the years we have raised over $600,000 for our selected charitable organizations and we plan to raise even more next year,” general manager Davor Dikmic says. “The loyalty and generous support of our sponsors make this event better each year.”
Next years’ event is scheduled for July 14.
The 104-room Hockley Valley Resort is open all year round and includes an 18-hole championship Scottish Links golf course, 15 ski/snowboard runs, European- style Spa, conference facilities and fine dining.
