The Brick coming to town

Construction of a 20,000 sq. ft. furniture store in Orangeville is expected to begin soon. Developer Forecast Inc. says it recently signed a deal to bring The Brick as a new anchor tenant for the Westside Village Market.
The new building — 35,000 sq. ft. total, with other tenants — is slated for completion this fall. It’s the final structure planned for the retail centre on the northeast corner of the Riddell and Centennial roads intersection.
Representatives from The Brick couldn’t be reached for comment at press time.
According to its web site, the furniture retail company is “Canada’s largest volume retailer of home furnishings, bedding, appliances, televisions, video recorders and stereo equipment under one roof.”
The Brick Group features 100 locations, 32 franchise locations, 23 mattress stores, three Super Store operations, four Small Space Furniture stores, 10 clearance locations and 43 United Furniture Warehouse stores across Canada.
